Has anyone lubricated their engine hatch strut's? I noticed the port side strut groans as I raise and lower the hatch. I've lubricated the hinges. I forgot to check if they had grease fittings on them before I left the boat today.

Douglee, You should have a fuel filter/water separator for each engine, including the genset. There easy to replace and are likely available from your marina.

Sorry about the confusion. You said the motor would let out the rope, but not raise the anchor. I was thinking it may be slipping due to a lose clutch. Based on the other comments, I think their on the right track to you help resolve the issue.
