I am winterizing my '04 SunDeck 5.0L MPI. My mechanic says I should have drain plugs on the block port and stbd. I've been in there (as best I could) with flash lights, mirrors, and just feeling around with my hands..... and I cannot find any on the block. There is one on the thermostat...

I've winterized my normally aspirated (1999 SunDeck) 5.0L Merc for the past 6 years, I used the old "Marvel Mystery oil down the carb till it stalls" method of fogging. This summer I traded up to a 2004 240 SunDeck with a 5.0 L MPI engine and I have a feeling that I am not going to get away...

New member getting my first post out of the way.... I'll be winterizing my '04 240 SunDeck and it's my first time doing it to an MPI engine.... going over to the maintenance forum for suggestions... Looking forward to another Long Island (south shore) winter!
