    Mike, remove the rear upholstery panel in the rear of the compartment, which is in front of the helm. You can reach the tach by stretching your arm up behind the steering wheel. The tack has a threaded ring on the backside that you should be able to take off by hand.

    I had similar problems (would not trim down) and traced problem back to a bad trim switch on the throttle. I took throttle apart and jumpered between the purple power wire and the green trim down wire and trim down worked. I cannot find a part number or the switch anywhere on the net. 2010...
