Hit a submerged object and destroyed a prop, propshaft, and bent the strut. The shaft still turns freely in the strut but the strut appears to have a cresent curve in it. I am assuming i will need to replace it. Already lined up the part for the job just waiting on insurance...

What type of electric fuel pumps are everyone using? Have replaced manual pumps with Carter marine rotary pumps and have them mounted near fuel selection valves. They constantly get warm and vapor lock requiring me to cool them with water before I can get back under way. The boat is a 88 300...

5.7 and 1:1.52 ratio.
Factory is 17*16 but found a great deal on 16*17.
Any input ? Real work application?
I have a 1994 Sundancer 290 with twin 4.3 mercruiser stern drives. Boat had set for a few years before getting it. Check oil and all fluids got the engines running. engines crank andrand idle fine until approximately 3,500 RPM at that point advancing the throttle will not change the engine...
Finally got the old boat patched up enough to do a test run...
Ran well until port tank went dry, switched to starboard tank and ran for 1 minute and died.
Can anyone advise of there is a one way valve in the fuel lines? I can pull a little fuel through but cannot push air backwards through...
Any one know how to make a new key for the sliding cabin door on a 300 weekender? Door has been locked, but in the open position, and will not latch. Tried other keys but no luck.
