I recently went through this same process but with my 2007 175BR. I looked at installing the speakers down the bottom but after reading into it (and hearing of one guy who wasn’t overly impressed with the end result sound wise), I opted to install 4” fusion speakers on the side just in front of...
I second the blue seas ACR system if you don’t mind spending the extra over a simple 1-2-both-off switch. No needing to worry about which battery you are running, hands down they are awesome.
here is my setup in my 175 which has a decent stereo (2 amps/sub + 6 speakers), iv got a dedicated...
interesred in what others have to say here, I’m going to have to do the same thing shortly but instead removing the ladder for a swim platform install..... it looks tight, what happens when you remove the backrest/seat cushion? If there’s no hole there I was thinking of cutting a access port...
Good luck with the boat searching.... too answer you’re question about towers, iv got one on my 2006 175 sport and it’s great, use it eith a tower bimini, fishing rod holders and also a set of speakers.
I take mine out in a big bay called “moreton bay” in Brisbane Australia and it handles great

I have a 07 175 sport (cane with the long pin strip swosh style which has been removed).
keen to get the tribal style decals if there is anyway you can share them with me that would be awesome
Pm me or email to David.hills@harcourts.com.au
cheers mate
I did it all myself mate, sourced the rolls of eva off eBay and made the templates myself... took a while but I wanted to get it as perfect as I could. It’s holding up great too, gets a beating with my dog and is constantly wet and even crab out of the boat so it gets messy, always cleans up great
Be careful here.... depending on the battery type you are using, 11v is dangerously low.
a AGM battery has under 50% charge remaining at 12-12.1v and you wouldn’t want to be deeply discharging past this point regularly unless you didn’t care about the battery life/longevity. Hence why the...
Hi fellow members,
firstly... great forum with loads of useful info for new sea ray owners. Thought I’d drop in an formally introduce myself.... boating certainly isn’t new to me as I grew up around boats and have had them all my life - just no sea rays
I recently picked up a 2007 175 Sport...
I was looking at the Victron LVD with Bluetooth which looks the business but decided on adding a proper dual battery setup as I run 2 amps - using blue sea add a battery kit
Everything I read about the Victron one was positive tho hell I may even add one down the track to the AUX battery
