    My preference is the dripless. Not cheap, but is more effective and keeps the bilge dry. When I had the props tuned/balanced had them replace all seals, bearings and dripless.

    Replaced mine a few years back. You can get access to the valve and flex shower hose via an access panel on the starboard side in the cubby behind the rear cockpit bench. It's tough, but doable. I replaced it with an 8" flex stainless steel shower hose purchased on Amazon.

    I agree with Nick , all the way up at low speeds. The boat will get to plane on its own, depending on speed.     We love it. More room to gather, sitting on the platform with feet in the water. Also, has the integrated swim ladder, in the center, so when put away not in your way or exposed. It also, allowed for the davit /tender, barbecue and removable grab poles when coming up the ladder out of the water...

    Here is an update, Conatcted Airmar , the correct replacement transducer is ST800-INS Speed and Temp Insert. Purchased same from iMarine (iMarineUSA.com)

    I used plastic hose purchased at best Marine, cut at 45 degrees at exit end. Works great and easy removed for hull waxing in the spring. Measure ID and purchase OD size to match
