Puzzled, need suggestions not running all 8 cylinders.

I had a similar problem this summer. Turned out that a wire harness was resting on the motor (not sure exactly were) and burned through to cause an arch. Shop repaired it and it seemed ok for the short time we ran the boat before winter haul out. But while looking for the problem we learned...

Just in case anyone is still wondering about Chris' panels, I bought one and it works perfectly. It looks great too. Just plug and play. I have an OEM starboard panel available for sale if anyone is interested. I also have a port panel that I'll throw in for free. I bought the port side from...

Speaking of vacuums, my "new to me" '05 340 has the central vac. But I can't figure out how to turn it on. There's a switch on the can with an "Auto" and a "on" position. I tried both, threw every switch on the main panel, and checked the breakers in the engine room. Is there another on/off...

Thanks Kevin that's helpful. I've been checking out that thread too, there's a lot there! Do you know what the prop rotations are?

    2004 Sundancer 340

If you all don't mind I'm another new 340 owner with a couple questions. Do the fuel tanks draw down in tandem or can I (should I) isolate them? Also, does anyone know what the rotation is for each side? I have an '05 340 with 8.1 Mercs. Thanks in advance.

I am also new to a 2005 340 and have a related question. If the boat is not plugged into shore power, and everything on the main panel is off, but the switches on the panel in the engine room are on, will the bilge pumps be powered?
