    Late 90's 270 Sundancer Thread

Assuming you mean the four screws in the corners of the wood that holds the radio and CD changer. The bottom two were easy to get to with a screw driver once the door is open. I’ll have to figure out the top two because they are hiding behind the rounded corner of the door “frame”. Maybe a small...

    Late 90's 270 Sundancer Thread

Does anyone have any tips (or pictures or threads) for how to get behind the Radio/CD changer? I assume the amp is back there somewhere. I didn't see one in any of the closets. The radio has power but no sound comes out. The 6 Disc changer doesn't eject and I assume doesn't have power. Just...

    Late 90's 270 Sundancer Thread

Confirmed it is a fresh water flush valve with hose hookup at deck level near the aft couch. Also confirmed that if that valve (labeled wtf? in my picture) has to be in the correct position or cooling water from the bravo iii does NOT make it back into the engine. Seems like a good way to mess...

    Late 90's 270 Sundancer Thread

I ordered the bimini frame and camper top frame with KevinC yesterday in linen tweed. Going to see how it looks with the old side panels before spending any more dollars. What I really need to complete my weather proofing is to know the size of your walkthrough windshields on a 98 SD. Bottom...

The bimini is the front bit and camper is the back. The bimini aft curtain is the slanted 45 degree piece that goes from the transom to the back of the bimini where the camper would normally attach. Your head would be bent forward sitting in the aft couch.

    Late 90's 270 Sundancer Thread

I'll be back up at the boat this weekend and will check out the flush line. Maybe I'm in luck the PO adding this. The boat was certainly kept in good condition and this might have something to do with the engine being in great shape. Does anyone have pictures of their boat with the aft bimini...

    Late 90's 270 Sundancer Thread

Been playing with my "new boat". The internet pictures show me this picture. Notice coming out the bottom of the sewage tank the T is level with the bottom before going to the macerator. I have this (bilge is much cleaner now - this is from the purchase): will this cause any problems...

1998 270 DA - New to Me - Needs parts and advice

Finally got it all running and checkout cruise done. Hitting the water for the first time this weekend and heading up the Rappahannock. Just the windshield, new steering wheel and new gauge cluster faceplate to install. What I'm really needing is the bimini and put WTB ad in the Classified...

I saw you posted an add in May 2019 about a bimini frame for a 270. Was this ever sold? I've got the wide body 1998 270 so don't even know if it would fit. Thanks, Brandon

WTB: 1998 270DA Bimini or Camper Frame

I need a bimini and camper frame for a 1998 270da. I’ve got some old canvas but the boat didn’t come with the frame. Hot sun is burning my balding head. Please help.

1998 270 DA - New to Me - Needs parts and advice

No radar arch. The picture is deceiving - it isn’t closing by an inch or so - not just that little bent metal on the port side. Gap is 18 3/4 at the top and 19 1/2 at the bottom. Not sure if I have a center window from another boat or if the rest of the windshield is messed up (possibly crushed...

Used Transom Assembly - Is this early Bravo-itis?

Because the mechanic broke off an easy out inside the hole (very hard) and then drilled ‘relief holes’ around it. Because he panicked after getting the bolt stuck, removed the engine, and then started grabbing random tools off the real mechanic’s desk and drilled holes in a $3500 transom...

1998 270 DA - New to Me - Needs parts and advice

All fluids, impeller and water pump replaced. Had some issues with bravo-itis and some crappy mechanic work on another thread. But, while the engine was out I did clean the bilge with a whole bottle of degreaser and toilet scrub brush. Looks awesome. Took a little over an hour. Went to the...

Used Transom Assembly - Is this early Bravo-itis?

Update - bought a local transom assembly and will have an extra after I fix the crappy repair work. Goes on the boat this week with the engine. We’ll see if we can get her on the water on the weekend.

Used Transom Assembly - Is this early Bravo-itis?

Thanks, all. Ill pull it and bring it to a machine shop closer to home to extract the bolt. Other option is to seal it and thru-hull it.

Used Transom Assembly - Is this early Bravo-itis?

This is what my current transom assembly looks like with the bolt stuck in it. They drilled 'relief holes' while trying to get the broken bolt out...the brand new 2019 bolt. The mechanic tried to tell me this is something that just happens on old boats (despite old bolts 1998 coming out just...

Used Transom Assembly - Is this early Bravo-itis?

I have bravo-itis on my 1998 Bravo three. Looks like all the photos on the internet with 100% blockage. The mechanic that was supposed to install the kit to fix it broke one of the kit's bolts in my transom assembly while pushing the plastic ring in.... $400 repair has turned into a...
