Does anyone know if there is a diesel fuel cut off valve for the generator on the 390 EC and if so, where it is located? (1988) Thanks in advance.

I seem to recall that it takes 1/4" packing. As for the cutlass bearings, mine are 1-1/2" ID (shaft size) X 1-3/4" OD X 6" long. There are 10 flutes in the bearing. I have a 1988 390EC with the 3208 Cats. Running 20 X 25 NiBrAl props. Awesome boat. Welcome to the party!

Thank you! I have the one in the second link. Had to order the K&N cleaner from Advance auto, but it works great! Tried it on one and I can actually see light through the filter now. I have to get to the boat and install it and grab the other one. Repeat. Rinse, etc.

Problem - Replacement tank is almost up against bulkhead. No room to drill without removing tank. Still don't understand why can't drill through bulkhead to drain water until I can pull tank.

Why is this bad? Po replaced the tank with a poly, but apparently left the water in that space below the tank. Considering drilling the holes to drain the water without haviing to remove the tank. Again, why would this be bad as an interim measure?

I have an '88 390 with the 3208 Cats. I have a question for the world's leading authority on restoring the EC. When we bought the boat it was bone dry and surveyed above average. Just recently checked the center compartment and found water in there. Already has a poly tank. No ports yet...
