Yes - when I replaced the whole tank - but easily done (be careful - the floats can get a bit brittle). I used a flathead screwdriver to scrape the scale off.
The reason that the H30 won't work for me is because of the launch / retrieve. MY boat is backed into the slip with no room behind me. I'd have to move the boat forward every time I wanted to use the dink.... which we do (sometimes more often than the actual boat). With a davit (crane) type...
Wondering if this will get the dink high enough up to avoid being hit by any kind of wake... anyone have experience with anything like this? About to pull the trigger on one and looking to verify...
Check the connection at the pump as well. If there is a crack in the hose or if it loosened up where it connects to the vacuum pump - that's your issue. I would take a spray bottle with soapy water and spray anywhere and everywhere you can.
Of course, if you fill the bowl with water and come...
Resolved before posting - but putting it here anyway.
Boat ran all day on Saturday.... zero issue. Went to start port side on Sunday - zero start.
At the end of it all - turned out that the starter solenoid RELAY went out... also known as the mag switch.
$45 part.... but let me tell...
Looks like my starboard side multi gauge is going out - lost oil pressure and fuel....
Confirmed that I have power coming into it...
I looked on Flounder Pounder with no luck... any thoughts on other places?
Lost forward gear on my way out of the dock. Pulled forward, put in neutral.... wouldn't go back in gear. Goes into reverse fine.... looks to be hydraulic controls... Cummins diesels - 8.3 CTA's... mechanicals.
I would guess maybe a micro switch... literally no idea...
Anyone?
I moved to a 15hp from my 6. With the 6 I was able to simply lift it off the transom of the dink, lay on the swim platform and store in the cockpit when not in use.... now, with the 15, I think the additional 40 or so pounds may prevent that from happening. I find getting the dink onto the...
I have a 2003 - looking to add davits and trying to fill out the worksheet on the Hurley site... does anyone have the measurements of the platform handy? Length, width, and height off the water?
