II need to replace my port OMC outdrive. It is right hand drive like the starboard, but boat originally came with a left turning port Outdrive. Is there an advantage to going back to left turning (counter rotating)
Thanks, I have a 270 Amberjack and only haul it twice a year. Into the slip and back to storage after the season. Distance one way is 15 miles. My surge system needs to be totaly replaced and I prefer driving with electric brakes. I do plan on unplugging when backing into the water.
I have an 87 270 Amberjack. I have the head that has a pump handle on the side. The supply hose runs to the seacock. I've pumped it but can't get it to draw up water. Any thoughts?
87 270 Amberjack twin 4.3's. been restoring it. Tach & trim gauge don't work. Also, fuel gauge works intermittently and sometime needle just bounces. Also synchronize gauge doesn't work. IDEAS?????

I re-did a 87 270 amberjack. Previous owner eliminated the AC panel and created his own electric system. I've torn that out and put in a new after market AC panel to power fridge, charger and an outlet for a microwave. I read some articles before re-wiring it and they recommend an isolator
