    A Florida based 1987 390 Express Restoration

It's been two days with no response, frankly I' surprised. You can't come near a monitoring system that will accomplish those tasks for $250 on the open market, or have your original repaired for that amount. If I wasn't in the process of selling my boat I'd go for one. Perhaps if you were to...

    Problems with a Quicksilver Generator

Not to high-jack your thread here, but quick question Ron, do you know what the equivalent (auto & year) is for the points & condenser parts? I know the engine was a Nissan (March & Micra) used in Europe, but is there an equivalent US Nissan for the Points & Condenser. I used an ’89 Nissan...

"8338990 is the screw cover for the side windows." Thank you for taking the time to label the part numbers and give a great visual reference using the rule for the rubber mountings you are using for your window assembly. And thanks for the great work you’re doing on you fine boat, speaking for...

    A Florida based 1987 390 Express Restoration

Excellent work on the window replacement! Did you find a source for the gasket to cover up the screw holes on the window frame? I've tried to locate the part number with Tailor and didn't have any luck. Even had them send me samples, nothing came close. If you find a source please let me know...

    390 Express - Stringer Question

From the description you gave of the fiberglass attaching the stringer to the hull, it does not seem logical that it would be "engineered" for flex. In a previous life I worked in a boat manufacturing plant, they took great pains to scribe the stringers before the final fitting to match the...

    Bigger Engine

Lots of stuff to consider for the 454 to "Fit right in", fuel lines, fuel pump(?) probably have a different carb set up, so throttle linkage, gauges, and electrical connections. Out drive swap has been brought up, and really needs to be considered for a long term solution, and the ratio's...

    Well, How about that.

Well the good thing is Spookeay wouldn't necessarily be walk around in circles, they appear to be counter rotating "Spinners"...

    300 DB interior restoration

Great job on everything, it really came together in the last couple of months! What did you use to resurface the counter tops? Is that a laminate, or a float on substance?

    Replacing Headliner?

I think it was Resolve? I liked it because it was in a spray bottle and I could hold the bottle at an angle and it would still spray. I tried a can of Woolite, I think, and it didn't work as well. And I had trouble using it in a flat position, would not flow very well because it likes to have...

    Replacing Headliner?

I've used carpet cleaner and had fairly good results. Read the instructions, some say NOT to scrub, and that technique worked best for me too. Just spray it on, let it sit, then dab it dry. Good Luck!

    1990 310 Express Cruiser

Welcome to the Club! And congratulations on your purchase. I seem to remember Ron (Wile-e-coyote) talking about how his '89 340 EC was on fuel economy, however economy may not be the correct word! I think I remember him saying he was getting around 16gph at cruse. You can do a search to view...

    radar arch lights

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, was on travel. Yes, the LED festoon bulb is the same style/shape of the original, just find the replacement LED you want and replace the original just like you would if it had burned out!

    radar arch lights

If one of your current arch sockets has been destroyed, get the replacement and buy a festoon LED bulb to fit it. Look at the link below, there is a ton of information on this subject. Good luck! http://clubsearay.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28651

This is also an excellent opportunity to switch over to LEDs, might want to consider that before hitting that "Bid" button!

    268 sundancer chine walking

Most Vee bottom boats will exhibit some "roll" due to their inherent shape, and subsequent weight transfer, wither from shifting ballast within the boat, or a load induced by wave action or wind loading. I tend to agree with Daddubo, most chine walking I've experienced is induced at a higher...
