i was just thinking about using the foam for a protection barrier, wasnt sure how bad the yaks would rub against the boat, this year the lake has been crazy since there is little to nothing else for people to do so the chop is worse than normal. I dont worry about the noise so much, we have...
Thank you for the replies. I thought about putting some of these foam blocks down first and then storing them on the bow while underway but I am not sure what those will do to the gelcoat. I will probably just suck up the expense and get the racks so I can have the visibility in front of me...
I tried searching and I couldn’t find the topics so if this is a dead horse I’m sorry.
We just picked up some kayaks and plan to let the kids paddle around some of the coves we normally anchor at while me and the wife hang out on the boat until it’s our turn. Where do you put your kayak when...
In case anyone searches for this topic again and sees this thread, I used Dave Holton and could not say enough good things about him. He has gone above and beyond to help us with the survey and info. Great guy and did a thorough search of the boat.
I would have to agree that stupidity is out in full force. We were on the lake a few weeks ago during a busy boating day. Luckily we were just cruising along when I saw something bobbing in the water. At first I thought it was a bird or something but when I got closer I realized it was some dude...
I use an adapter like creekwood posted. They are at any hardware store or Walmart. I got one off of amazon for less than $10 and had it delivered in a couple of days.
I got this nexgrill from Costco. So far I love the grill and it doesn’t get hot under it. Also it’s from Costco so if you don’t like it you can return it
I tried searching this question but couldn’t find it. I have a 2000 290sd and it looks like there is a wood holder for the outside table. Would it get too hot in the engine bay to keep it there while running. I wouldn’t think there would be any issues or I doubt they would have put that there...
Has anyone tried one of these? Sounds similar but I was wondering if it does as good of a job as the ones mentioned above.

Welcome, like you I am new here as well but have already found a ton of useful information. Looks like you are in or are prior service so Thank You! We will be down in that area in late June, if you are around the Eglin area then I'll buy you a beer or three. Semper Fi!
I like what we have now but if money was not an issue I would definitely move up to a newer boat and move up about 8 to 10 feet. I would not mind moving to a smaller house with more land and then getting the wife a new vehicle, her dream vehicle is a 4Runner so maybe a new one of those would be...
Nice boat! My grandfather used to have a boat on Lake Erie. We loved going to visit and taking cruises in the lake. Great memories up there. We also just purchased a 290 but ours is a little older. They are great boats from what I can tell
I am not sure if you answered this on the forum yet so I apologize if you have. Do you mind sharing where you got your extended swim platform from? We are looking to replace ours next season but are looking around now. Thank you for any information.
Thank you, we plan on checking them out this weekend as well as Port Royale even though they are a little farther from the house, it might be worth the drive.
We will check them out again, they had one open that was quite a bit more that we didn’t need the space for and didn’t want to take it if a taller boat needed it. They did say to call back because it changes each week. I’ll try again in a couple of weeks. We still have our survey to do and once...
