Engine died at 1300 rpm on the water - won't start back up. 2010 Sea Ray 240 Sundancer

I checked into the symptoms of a bad IAC. And it is only at 0 throttle the engine won’t start. If you throttle up in neutral it starts. But in my case it still won’t start. I’m still leaning to the no fuel pressure issue.

Engine died at 1300 rpm on the water - won't start back up. 2010 Sea Ray 240 Sundancer

spark is great, its looking more like a fuel issue. when I have someone crank the engine the fuel rail valve when depressed does not squirt gas. odd thing is that I hear the fuel pump run when I click to the run position. I filled the fuel filter compartment in the cooled fuel module. and...

Rain water leaking into bilge - FIXED!

Noted - I did 5200 last month the hinge top area (which I removed for this repair), a hook tool peeled it up like old bathtub caulk - I was lucky. I was more obsessed with sealing out the last drop entering the engine compartment. I suppose Im a little over the top about my engine, keeping it...

How do you remove the water heater in a 240 Sundancer?

got it - thanks, the rear single screw was a pain, but all you have to do when you unscrew the front is swing the heater to the back and reach in and unscrew. Mounted the pressure pump on the stringer and joined the in and the out together. Tampa area, we never used the hot water heater.

Fresh Water Holding Tank leaking - Sundancer 240

Lazy Daze - you are totally correct. The Step-Down pump area was bone dry. I cranked trailer Jack up to give more tilt on the boat and saw only a small amount of water roll back in the engine compartment from under the fuel tank, which I dried up. So, no leaks from the main holding tank :-) I...

While doing all my yearly checks (boat on the trailer), I filled the empty fresh water holding tank with water, got in the engine compartment to do other inspections then noticed a small flow of fresh water dribbling down the bilge from the bow from under the fuel tank. Where do I start - tank...

Seized Alternator due to failed sea water pump

Horrible squeal upon starting engine (at home on the trailer). Last month I replaced the sea water pump that had been leaking out the front seal/ pulley (spraying salt water all over the front of the engine. As I feared, the salt water got into the alternator, corroding and seizing the unit...
