    I get the idea of a mounting flange on the bottom of the bracket, except it is not there. No indication that it was cut off or rusted off either. Yeah, roger that, or as we once said, That's a Charlie! ;)

    Many thanks for the replies. I had looked pretty closely for holes in the deck that might be threaded or otherwise have held fasteners and found none.     My 215EC has a pump out head, has a small storage tank. Likely you could do a mod and have the pump out closer to the head, otherwise you'll have to mess with the instrument panel wiring harness and that is a pain in the butt.
