82 36' SRV has full canvas enclosure, but it's old and hazed. I was about to have the Isenglass replaced when I asked myself, how about something more utilitarian. I live in Texas, cold is not an issue, but bugs are. Has anyone considered replacing the Isenglass with mosquito netting?
Subject boat is 36' SRV W/Onan Generator. Can someone suggest the purpose of the white wires shown in the pic of an aft sea strainer . Specifically do they serve to ground the Generator which is in close proximity?
Subject boat is SRV 360 berthed in Fort Worth, Texas. Recently experienced record -2° freeze. Over a foot of water accumulated in the engine room that overwhelmed the pumps. Thorough inspection didn't reveal any through-hull issues. Does freeze and rupture of fresh water holding tank sound right?
I am replacing the solinoids (up and down) on my 12v Good anchor windlass. The people at Good won't tell me what size solinoids are required (irritating). I guessed and opted for 300 amp. Before I install them I would appreciate input on whether the 300 amp solinoids are sufficient for the job...
This is a follow-up to my earlier post. Subject boat is a 1982 36' SRV. I need to replace the solenoids that service the anchor windlass (shown in attached pic). Problem is they are located in the overhead of the chain locker and the access panel (a mirror) is way too small- can't even see...
Subject boat is 1982 360SRV. Windlas will drop anchor but won't retrieve. Replaced switch - no joy. Suspect failed solinoid(s).. Could someone suggest where they might be located?
Subject boat is 1982 SRV with 454 Crusader engines.
I am sure the fuel system on this boat has
fuel/water separator filters but I have no idea what I should be looking for or where. Can someone help me out here? If I knew what part to order I believe I could take it from there.
Subject boat is 1982 360 SRV. The pic shows some sort of instrument somehow related to the battery charger and resides even with the ankle of the helmsman. It is probably OEM and was used in connection with the original ferroresonant charger which has since been replaced with a ProNautic smart...
Subject Boat 1982 360 SRV: Can someone please tell me what this switch block is for. All i know so far is if you turn far left switch off, the battery charger turns off.
Subject boat is 1982 Sea Ray 360 SRV. There are two switches on the electrical panel that I don't understand (please see pic). The switches in question are the one labled "AC Converter" and the unlabeled switch right below it. I don't know their intended use and would appreciate some guidance -...
Do cranking Batteries serve any purpose other than starting the engines and generator on my 360SRV? i.e. do they supply power to any dc equipment after engines are up and running.
When I replace the anchor line (5/8" rope - no chain), do I feed the new line from the topside, going from the anchor toward the chain locker or from the bottom, leaving the chain locker and going toward the anchor.
My searchlight is original equipment. I don't see the brand but most closely resembles a Jabsco 62040-4002. Using remote switch, it goes right and returns; however, when it goes left, it won't return. Where do you think I should start. Replace the switch or tear into the light itself?
I need to replace the forward escape hatch on my 1982 36 SRV EC. Original equipment will fit in the hole - anything else requires a good deal of cutting and fitting. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where an original hatch can be located.
