That is weird, I am able to see the image? Do you just see a blank space where the image should be?
Def. will have to pick up the ratcheting tool tho, my factory support poles are not a 3-in-1 deal. Went ahead and ordered the proper support poles, Thanks everyone!
Finally got to install my new cover, great quality and fit. Only gripes were that it didn't include enough tie down straps for every loop, also I was under the impression it would have been elastic on the edges. Instead it was just a rope I pull tight/tie, lastly I had to buy a new support pole...
I just snagged a brand new refurbed JVC KD-R85MBS marine headunit for my 180 BR, really nice simple unit that has BT/Aux/USB/CD. Only cost me $60, you can get the matching JVC helm remote for another $50 and get a nice little package for $100ish.
That's what I read too, the more I think about it I probably tried to shut the engine off too quick the one time it happened. I am buying a bottle of Star Tron before this weekend and will pop some in the tank before I head out, gonna just stick to 90 e-free since there is a gas station on my...
So just the other day on my 2000 Sea Ray 180 w/a Mercruiser 3.0L I noticed maybe 1 outta the 4 times I shut the engine off it had kinda a rough shut off. This has never been the case in the past handful of times I have used the boat. I am wondering if this could be caused by mixing grades of...
Got to finally install the new HU/run all the new speaker wires on Sat., everything worked perfectly. Old HU output's were def. shot, everything worked as it should. Just gotta run one more new speaker wire and it'll all be sorted! Thanks everyone.
Yea after talking to a buddy that has been doing professional stereo installs for his whole life, said that some of the outputs might be shot on the old HU. Funny thing is I already have a brand new JVC Marine Bluetooth HU ready to go, just was trying to sort out the speaker issue first before I...
So last night I went over to the boat and am baffled. I ran a new wire to the farthest speaker to eliminate all the piggy backing it was doing from the opposite speaker. I tried to test running one of the speakers directly off the correct output on the HU and it didn't produce any sound from it...
Yea I think what happened was they didn't have any extra speaker wire, so they just cobbled it together. Gonna head over to my boat tonight and re-do the wiring, get the new HU in as well.
Good deal, I am hoping routing the wire should be easy since everything is in exposed areas. Hardest part will be running the wire from the HU to the farthest speaker in the rear. Can't wait to get this all sorted and correct, nothing drives me nuts more than lazy/sloppy stuff like this.
So let me preface this by saying I have done many car audio installs, but this is my first go at a marine audio install with my 2000 Sea Ray 180 BR.
I recently purchased a new head unit & a new pair of 6.5" JBL's for the stern of my boat. Currently the setup is two speakers in the rear then a...
Well finally put my order in for a Custom Carver in Sun-DURA, specially with fall approaching more rain will be in store. Used SavvyBoater and got it for about $370 shipped for my 180 BR, excited to ditch the cover that came with the boat that is pretty beat. Will post pictures once I get it/put...
Thanks Jim for the feedback! I most likely will get a colored one that matches my boats scheme, spice things up a bit.
Also is it just me or is it kinda of wacky that all the online retailers that sell custom fit Carver covers pricing is all over the place. Not like $10-$20 different but like...
If anything it is one less "cover" I have to toss on after I take the boat out. I am gonna spring for a custom fit Carver in a few weeks, now to decide on color. People that own darker colors, is it safe to assume they get hotter than lighter colors? Could potentially damage the interior over...
I was wondering about that, I'll most likely remove the snap on covers once I get a new full cover during the season.
The PO had a dry dock slip, so he double covered because it sat outside. The boat is in amazing shape inside/out so the two covers def. didn't harm anything.
For those who have bought Carver's, most have purchased the 9.25oz Sunbrella correct? For the more budget conscious, would the 7oz Sun-DURA be OK? I use the factory bow and stern snap on covers in addition to a full cover as well, just want to replace my beat up full cover with something...
Hello Everyone!
New to the boating world, my wife and I just picked up our first boat a week ago. It is a 2000 Sea Ray 180 BR, bought it from a gentleman in Ithaca, NY (about 1.5 hrs from me in Rochester). The PO owned it for 6 yrs (he bought it from the original owner) and took great care of...
