Port side fuel tank is fun to access, just changed my fuel sender. From engine room port side, tank sits under the cockpit sink and ice maker. Access it from the port side access deck, climb over batteries to get access to it. very tight. Hope this helps, this is how I got to mine.

Ohm the sensor, compare to other sensor that is working fine. If the same, then need to test the gauge. This of course after checking wire connections, cleaning and making sure all is good. When ohming sensor, make sure wire is disconnected, imho, most likely a bad sensor.

Had that problem, found that when the wave was hitting my port side sten, water splashing into the bilge intake air vent, runs down in bilge an was setting alarm off.
