looking Space Coast FL ( titusville to melbourne) 3 mo. Marinas near restaurants & music

I dry store mine at Harbortown. It's an awesome marina; great restaurant, service. Fair pricing. It's no wake through the canal but you can be in the river in 20 minutes.

    Portable AC

Somebody gave me a 12000 BTU Portable AC. Couple of feet tall and 66 lbs. 115V. Has wheels, easy to transport. Anybody use these in cabin? Too many BTUs? Wear the battery down quickly? Safe? Just looking for advice....thanks

My 99 270 Sundancer took water on in the cabin well

I'm used to turning the batteries off because I dry store. That was my fault not realizing it was going to be in the water all night.

My 99 270 Sundancer took water on in the cabin well

No, in fact once I checked the fluids and felt good I ran her out for a couple hours. Ran like a champ.

My 99 270 Sundancer took water on in the cabin well

I just hope the engine isn't damaged. She was sitting pretty deep in that water. I checked all the fluids and they're great so it doesn't appear water got in the oil. Oil looks really good.

My 99 270 Sundancer took water on in the cabin well

It's all coming together. It happened a few months back and then Sunday. Both times the boat stayed overnight in the water. It's usually in dry storage and that's why I usually don't have the problem. Pop in, pop out. But overnight she's going to take on that water.

My 99 270 Sundancer took water on in the cabin well

It was in the bilge but worked its way to the cabin. There is a leak in the bottom of bilge in transom. Only takes on water when I'm sitting still (boat moving its flowing out). Guy at marina said there is a joint around the transom that has a seal around it. If you turn hard (which I have...

My 99 270 Sundancer took water on in the cabin well

Yesterday took about two inches of water when parked in the river. I bailed it out and it's fine. It happened once before but I thought I had left the hatch open and rain came in. It appears the water is coming in from somewhere else...but only sometimes? Help!! Thanks

    Easy repair or bigger deal?

Thanks Frank...I love my boat but she has been a project! I have a pretty good mechanic now, but it's nice to be able to share what's going on and have others to talk to who have lived through it as well.

    Easy repair or bigger deal?

My apologies to sbw1 and the group. I need all the help I can get and I took the response the wrong way. I think the seal needs replacing! Thanks to all

    Easy repair or bigger deal?

No overheating she ran fine...just bilge alarm and I pumped her out on way back. I recently put a 1-1/4" through hull fitting in so there's a lot more water pressure running through now. I'll pop that cap off today and see what I'm up against. Thanks for response.
