I will watch this thread. I just returned a Windlass for my 270 that was recommended by the Marina. The Marine determined that they did not want to take on the job because of the problems associated with installation. The 270 may not be made for a Windlass? I will be looking for more info...

I was told today that the Windlass I just bought would not fit without major retrofitting that I am unwilling to do right now anyway. A Lewmar ProFish 1000 Free Fall does not work. What stinks is that the unit is exactly what the Marina told me to get. Probably should have asked here to begin...
