Would someone point me to the location of the sea water/AC heat exchanger? Is it outboard of the AC unit? The outlet piping from the sea water strainer in the engine compartment turns forward but then runs under the genny and out of sight. I checked under the forward bunk and located the AC...
I am presuming you plan to have your boat at a particular marina - perhaps in your development. In that case, you certainly have a point. You may be getting inexpensive dockage. Also, depending upon where one lives in Tampa, a marina that hauls out 30+ footers can be a long way drive-wise...
Welcome - am a 3 month owner of 2006 320 Dancer and enjoying it while learning its many nuances. You will get some good advice here. Have found the boat to be easy to handle and doesn't take long to learn to get into tight docks with minimal carnage. Although, gusty winds > 15-20MPH are still...
I think that is the answer. : ) Makes sense, and the part # has trailer in the description. In that case, I can continue to ignore it. I don't trailer it and the marina doesn't trim up the outdrives when hauling out. Thank you.
On my cockpit panel, there is a separate panel with the port and starboard engine trim switches. To the left of those switches is a third switch. Its part number/description is
BODY, ROCK SW DPST MOM (note - indicates a type of rocker switch)

Thanks Jay. True saying. However, my brain works better with actual depth. Four feet is my magic (or about to be tragic) number. Matches my paper charts and in an instant of decision-making, its the number that pops into my head first.
I have been through the Garmin manual and still not sure if I have the depth setting correct. My transducer is on the bottom of the aft keel at 2 ft below waterline. In the Garmin depth setting, is that + or - 2? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks K-9 - probably am overthinking somewhat, although the more I learned on this so far, the better. I think I have enough now to initiate prep. and planning. Appreciate all of the help.
Your 44 Dancer is a beautiful boat. Anchorage off of Ft. Jefferson seems to be place from all I hear. Underwater lights - never would have thought of that. Would have otherwise had them on in the evening before bed. Thanks for your comments.
Am thinking the buddy/caravan thing is taking on more importance to me after all comments. And appreciate the well wishes - if it were not for the long transit we would go for the Bahamas but maybe next year or two. We are really looking forward to the trip. Thanks.
Thanks for this feedback, Kevin. I am definitely going to take extra fuel as per everyone's comments. Never thought of a life raft, but will have a eprib and sat phone.
