When i did my flex-a-rail for a new install. i made a cardboard template to bend it around. and i used butiline tape for a seal. its like plumber putty. only in a thin tape. you can find it at ( sailrite.com) There is also some videos on replacing a rear enclosure that details the install and...
Bought one last season. It sits next to my round table cooler. Works great. but on hot days will not keep up with the cooler. have to buy a bag of ice to start out the cooler. and then you can maintain it with whats made. its a great thing to have. And now that i have it. wont be without it.
I custom made all new canvas for my 87 340 sundancer myself. I raised the bimini up and forward so that i could stand at the helm. used sunbrella canvas and at the time good V92 thread. I had over 300 hrs of work put into it. each panel was custom made. Did it through the winter last year. I did...
Yea, doesn't make sense with only one alternator. because one charges the house batts. and the other the start batts. if there is only one alt. then the only other thing that is producing voltage is the coil. a bad coil can do all sorts of things. but ive never heard of one sending voltage...
Sounds like you have a loose ground. check and clean all the cables from batteries to the engine. also check the plug on the engine where the harness plugs in. I had a Bayliner that the harness plug was loose and that caused all kinds of different problems including voltage spikes.
A friend of mine tells me that if i get everything done on the boat. that spring will be late. and if im behind than spring will come early. so i'm in the middle. so what does that mean?
Had the same problem. drove me crazy. worked great until i teathered to the BT. Then only cabin speakers worked. like 401 said , there was a setting on the radio buried in some obscure menu that was switched for forward only on BT. had to read the manual to figure it out. You know that paper...
I just installed a new through hull transducer. The yard man told me to use 4200. was a good choice. getting out the old one was a bit of a chore. but not to bad. Just used a nice sharp flat chisel and tap around the flange. then cut the whole flange off with a flat saw. then tap with a hammer...
Going through this thread, i noticed nobody has mentioned Port Sanilac. and yes I've been to Harbor Beach. and we love Port Austin and turnip rock. But Port Sanilac has some great activities scheduled for the summer. Like the Antique Boat Show, And Blues Festival, And Music in the Park. It's a...
Thanks. She is a real beauty. She has all the typical problems these old girls have. But we will work it out over time. trying to not get overwhelmed right away.
Been lurking about this site for the last couple months. getting great ideas and finding out about the boat. Great info and people on here. Would not have considered this old of a boat except i know all of the past owners except the first. so i know all the history and such. Bought this boat in...
Redoing mine now myself. hated the old tops. no room at the helm to stand up. i have all but the rear side curtains done. lots of work. also changed the color to sky blue from navy blue.
