I know there are other threads about low oil pressure but couldnt find one similar to my recent issue. Took the boat out Friday, its a 2005 260 Sundancer with a 350 MPI coupled to a Merc Bravo 3. Cranked up and oil pressure about 50, checked fluids prior to start up and all good. Idled out to...
I was thinking the hull there would be just fiberglass 3/8 to 1/2 thick. Is there anything else there. From the outside there is no apparent damage just the same slight circular crack in the gel coat just less like a quarter around.
It stay out of the water at a local marina so it’s safe. Saturday sucked because by the time I got back to the marina it was dark and the forklift/boat lift was already closed and everyone was gone home. So I had to leave it in the water overnight. I left the batteries on and checked the float...
I was out on my new to me 2005 260 SD this weekend and while checking the fluids in the engine I noticed water trickling down near one of the thru hull fittings. I looked closer and noticed where it was coming from. I took pics and attached them here.
A little history on the boat. I had...
I looked through every menu page and couldn’t find anything referring to antennas.
It worked fine for weeks and slowly started having this issue which is now constant. When this first started happening I would try shutting it off and restarting but that doesn’t correct the issue and even like...

Been busy and forgot to update.
I received the new sensor, switched it out and still no pressure for H2O showing on the gauge. Ran the engine and it was warm but not hot so the next day we had the boat put in the water and planned to camp out near shell island for the weekend.
I cranked up...
GCHOG, thanks for the response and that sounds like a likely cause. Once I get off I will check that out.
paulswagelock, I wish I had the adapter and gauge and may just go buy it because you can never have enough tools
Kevin, thanks for the response. I don't have any experience with this engine and computers, sensors but I was thinking the same. I just hate spending money on having someone else figure out what the problem is but I may have to in the end until I get a little experience with this boat and engine.
Hi everyone I am new here but not new to boating. A little back ground I am 54 live in Panama City, Florida and have been boating since 1980. My other boat is a 1972 Thunderbird Formula 233 I spent 2 years restoring and know every inch of her and can do all the mechanics on those old Mercruiser...
