Keokie - I have towed both with gas & diesel, and you are correct, the diesel has a steady torque band beginning at a much lower rpm. I spoke to a neighbor of mine who has been boating for over 40 years and has had 6 sea rays; he gave me some of the same insight that you all here on the board...
