    Process for selling boat

Thank you for all of the replies. I am amazed at all of the responses I received to selling this boat. When I sold my 370 Sundancer a few years ago, it was on the market for over a year. I received an offer on this boat within hours of putting up the ad. In fact, I had an offer of a deposit...

    Process for selling boat

I have advertised my Sea Ray for sale and quickly received an offer to buy it. There are others that are interested as well. What process for selling it would you recommend? One person offered me a small deposit while another was willing to give me a much larger one. I was planning on cleaning...

Battery Question for older Sea Ray

I will definitely consider the 31s. Still waiting for the boat to be taken out of the building.

Battery Question for older Sea Ray

Thanks for the information. I didn't know the dealer was responsible for determining which battery to use. I guess ordering them was not exactly what I was doing. I have scheduled some work to be done and the batteries were a part of that job. The mechanic asked me for the information as he has...

Battery Question for older Sea Ray

I have a 1994 330 Sea Ray Express Cruiser. It is still in inside storage and I cannot get access to it yet (Cleveland, Ohio area). I was wondering if anyone here knows the size of the OEM batteries as I want to replace all 3 and would like to order them. I am fairly certain the prior owner...

    Window leak advice

I appreciate all of the advice I am getting. It gives me a place to at least look. I have pulled off the windshield screw cover as well as all of the screws and snaps. I cleaned off all of the old caulk and put new caulk in. I put silicon on all the screws. I would appreciate the part number...

    Window leak advice

One other thing I noticed while removing the piece that was damaged. Sea Ray didn't just drill a hole where the bolts from the upholstery attach. They drilled much larger oblong holes about an inch and a half long and 3/4 inch in depth. They used large fender washers to attach the upholstery...

    Window leak advice

I am going to start by trying to clean the old caulk/sealant out and put new sealant in. I talked to a few marine repair services this morning about taking the windshield off and re-bedding it after the boating season ends here in a couple of months. None seemed overly enthusiastic but it...

    Window leak advice

I have had several Sea Rays as well as a Tiara 31 Open. Some small leaks but never anything I couldn't repair. I had a surveyor friend tell me one time that your first question should always be to ask the owner where the boat leaks. LOL

    Window leak advice

I haven't but that is not bad advice. I will do that to make sure. It was clear almost as soon as I sprayed water on the area I indicated the water started to run in. I saw where someone on here mentioned using paper towels to see where the water first came in and I did that.

    Window leak advice

I have a 1994 Sea Ray Express Cruiser I purchased late in the summer of 2018. I realized that there was a water leak somewhere on the starboard side that had destroyed the wood on the aft end of the large upholstery piece. I had a few folks that worked on the boat give me their opinions on...

water pump on 1994 Sea Ray Express

The water inlet on my freshwater pump is cracked. I could use some advice on a replacement pump as I am not sure what I should be looking for. The pump I am replacing is a SHURFLO Model 2088-423-244. I need something that would be as similar as possible for any easy installation. Thanks in...

    Bow rail bases questions

I have always been amazed that boat builders, at times, seem to have little regard in their designs to foresee issues like this. I know of several items, water heaters come to mind, that are almost impossible to replace without a significant amount of work. There is a slight gap in the area...

    Bow rail bases questions

I went down to the boat in the rain and while it doesn't appear to be leaking, I am going re-seal the rub rail. I took another look at the bow rail and decided only three of the bases look loose. Unfortunately, they are all covered inside by upholstery and I cannot even see how to get the...

    Bow rail bases questions

I don't know that it is leaking anywhere I just see the caulking coming off so I thought I should replace it. Would you recommend removing the rub rail, cleaning it up and resealing the screws?

    Bow rail bases questions

Thanks for the information. I will see what I can get to and hopefully I won't have to cut any access holes. I was planning to use butyl tape on the bolts as a sealant as it is used in most of the videos I see. Does this seem okay to you? I was not planning on removing the rub rail just the...

    Bow rail bases questions

I am planning on re-seating the bow rail bases on my 1994 Sea Ray Express. I was wondering if they have backing plates or just washers and nuts on the inside? Any difficulty getting to them all? Do you have any advice for me? I am new to this type of project but want to learn how to do it. I...
