On my 2006 240 I had an alarm issue also, Marine Max had it three different times. Finally they determined it was a loose ground wire. They tightened all the wires, no more alarm. This is something easy to check.

I have a 2006 240 Sundancer, (its for sale by the way). I have had 3 8 year olds on a tube with 4 adults on board, no problem. As for wake boarding, I have no idea. Take a trip to Florida and I'll take the family out for a ride, the water is still warm!

Make sure you change the water pump impeller! The book says its good for 300 hours, no way it will last that long. At 100 hours, my mechanic convinced me to change mine. He was right, it was all chewed up. I replace mine every year regardless of hours. John 2006 240 Sundancer

I dive & fish off my 240 all the time. Here are some pictures from our trip to the Keys in July. I trailer the boat form Tampa to Goodland and point it south for 90 miles. Shot the grouper from overhead, spear came out his chin! John

Thanks guys, I'll be taking it back to the dealer to have it checked out. Another reason I posted this picture and question was to make people aware of the situation, without lock nuts, it could happen to anyone!

Thanks for the insight guys, I'll be taking it to MarineMax to see if they can fix the problem. I didn't think the electrical connections were required to be tightened after a few years but I'll be checking mine often! Adding lock nuts is a great idea, Searay should think of doing that...
