We have done this amazing trip a couple of times and with The Moorings. If anyone is interested in the future i have a "guy" for a private boat from St Thomas to Tortola - he takes care of all customs, wink wink and has beer ready when we get off the private van from the airport!!

Have someone push the horn button on the helm and listen for the pump to engage - if you hear it running then it is probably spiders or some other insect in the horn diaphragm or a clog in the tubing as mentioned earlier! Exactly what happened to mine - spider nest in the horn itself!

Thanks, The plate was worn and would not maintain flow so i flipped it and it worked for a bit but I want to replace the plate with a new one and really dont want to replace the whole pump unless i have to?? Thank you c

Thanks, i have done that at the end of the season but it started to cavitate and would not hold suction - i have a new impeller and want to replace the plate if possible. Thank you.
