    thru hull adhesive

I'm old fashioned. 3M 5200 for anything below the waterline. 5200 fast cure is cure time is an issue. Use gloves - it gets everywhere. Soudaflex and Bostik have some similar products, but I'd rather go with what I know.

Brunswick selling off Sea Ray brand

My short list had Ferretti and Sunseeker on it. I think quality wise, all three are at the same level. Price wise, they're at the same level once you get to negotiating a purchase. So my decision was for Sea Ray because of the maintenance and service aspect. Factory is local, so you will get...

Brunswick selling off Sea Ray brand

I've had from new: Bertram, Sea Ray (a 480DB in 2001), Hydra Sport, Nautique, Intrepid and just took delivery of a new L-Class Sea Ray. Sea Ray service is the best of the bunch. I wouldn't worry about warranty issues, at least not in the next few years.

    Trump Tax Plan Explained

Yup. I got scared off the forum a few months back based on a very similar conversation, but still lurk once in a while. As a registered Republican, I just quit posting after being called a snowflake and a liberal. I guess wanting small deficits and open markets is not "Republican" anymore...

Earth Day, The Hype Is Coming...

I'm not getting trolled any more. Here's something less controversial to talk about: http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/people-are-seeing-ufos-everywhere-and-this-book-proves-it/ar-BBAhey6?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartanntp Are we being invaded by aliens?

Whew! I was worried for a second there - I'm flying tomorrow. Thought I was in danger of deep vein thrombosis or something.

Earth Day, The Hype Is Coming...

You're right Mike, I should not have used the word "facts". I meant something that is so verifiable, repeatable and easily observed that the average person would accept it as the truth as best as we can tell.

Earth Day, The Hype Is Coming...

Galileo was not the only guy that thought the earth was round. That tidbit had been settled since the ancient greeks. http://scienceblogs.com/startswithabang/2011/09/21/who-discovered-the-earth-is-ro/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myth_of_the_flat_Earth I agree - and the point I tried to...

Earth Day, The Hype Is Coming...

If you google "the earth is actually flat" you will find a bunch of pages of round earth deniers. Doesn't mean any of the pages are fact. The internet is full of lies and exaggerations, it's important to not only look at the content of webpages, but also the source.

Enlighten me then. I didn't say anything technical about coal, just used it as an example of an industrial revolution era fuel that can (eventually) be replaced with something better. If you disagree, then say why and show me the error of my ways. Otherwise, you're just as ignorant as I am...

Earth Day, The Hype Is Coming...

I understand what you are trying to say, but science is absolute. Gravity exists and it is measurable. The laws of thermodynamics are, well, laws. Math is also absolute: Pi and the speed of light are constants and 2+2 will always be four. There may be different aircraft wing 'solutions' based...

Earth Day, The Hype Is Coming...

This is a terrible thread. The problem with folks today is they think they know more about a subject from a google search than people who have spent their lives studying a subject. They walk into their doctors office and tell them the treatment they want because they saw an ad on TV and...
