Removal of the crapper in a 90 DA 220

Nope, you nailed it. Yes, it is the sink drain that exits overboard. I got a good look at it tonight. Looks like I also need a new drain hose from shower to sump. You just fixed my entire problem by the way. I just found out I have a bad hose. I am now in the process of making mohogany...

Removal of the crapper in a 90 DA 220

Don't have the wiring diagram but do have the color codes for the wires. Bilge pumps: 14 gauge brown/red = auto mode (if installed) 14 gauge brown = manual mode 16 gauge black = ground 16 gauge white = bilge high water alarm (I think this is only in the engine comparment) Hope it helps

Removal of the crapper in a 90 DA 220

Humm, Quint, are you talking of the mid-cabin bilge pump? My shower has a drain hose that goes straight from the shower overboard on the right side of the boat similar to where the sink drains on the left side of the boat. I also have the mid-cabin bilge under the flip up where you enter the...

Removal of the crapper in a 90 DA 220

Quint, Hey, I was just looking at your pics. Did you replace your shower door? Mine is rounded. I notice yours is squared and very beautifully trimmed in teak I must add. looks way nicer.

Removal of the crapper in a 90 DA 220

I am not sure if the shower has a sump pump. I thought it drained directly to the outside. Pretty sure mine does anyway.

Removal of the crapper in a 90 DA 220

Did new sink hardware and some trim yesterday. Now I have to take a 10 day break and go back to work. Had such a head of steam up too. Quint, I have never heard of flexiteak. I can't see after putting in carpet how you could put any trim around the floor. I am going to find something nice...

Quint, looks really nice inside. I did my carpet yesterday and today. Have a little bit to go but pretty much finished. Got excited so pics were prior to cleaning up much.

Removal of the crapper in a 90 DA 220

I cleaned the headliner as absolutely good as I could, then used high dollar waterproof and stainproof fabric paint. Worked beautifully. The trim rings, yes, they were a pain in the #$$, pretty much glued in place with silicone. I did get them off though. Have already removed and refinished...

Removal of the crapper in a 90 DA 220

H2ONUT, I am not exactly sure where you are talking about for your TV. I am going to mount a flat screen monitor, around 24", on the side of the crapper facing the seating area. I want to find a radio CD/DVD player. My headliner was in poor shape being covered with water stains and mold...

Removal of the crapper in a 90 DA 220

I put a light coat of silicone around all the railing flanges just to see, but I never considered the wiper motor. That would be a prime spot. I will take some pics tomorrow and post. The carpet comes out in several pieces pretty easily. I cut construction paper templates of all the pieces...

Where to buy Marine Grade Carpet

I found OEM carpet at Lowes! Around 7$ per yard. Exactly the same stuff that came out of mine. Jetpig

Removal of the crapper in a 90 DA 220

I am having problems somewhere behind the crapper in my DA-220 with water leaking into the cabin and pooling on the floor when it rains heavily. Right now I have the entire inside of the boat apart to install new carpet, with the exception of the crapper assembly and the boat is on a trailer...

    Question of the day? Engines

I am very mechanically motivated where engines and carbs are concerned. I have heard different things about carbs on boats which mostly is due to boats sitting and not being used. My other thoughts are that a 5.0L 260HP MPI will probably be much more efficient than a 5.7L 250HP carb engine...

Tis the season to remember those who serve in the Forces.

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight My wife was asleep, her head on my chest My daughter beside me angelic in rest Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white Transforming the yard to a winter delight The sparkling lights in...

    Powering my 220DA

Ok, it has been a while since posting on this. If it helps, the drive I have on the boat is an ALPHA 1 which has a drive ratio of 1.81 which has an (R) next to it. (1.81R) Does this mean Right hand rotation which I think is non-standard. Thanks

    Question of the day? Engines

Sure I would love to go with diesel, unfortunately if I did that I would have twice as much $$ in the boat as what the boat would even be worth. No, I have to stick with gas. I have not seen a complete drop in diesel package for less than around $15-18K. If anyone knows different, please...

    Question of the day? Engines

5.0 L fuel injected 260HP or 5.7 L Carb 300HP Looking for advice on which to go with to power a 1990 24' 220DA. Both seem to be around the same price range. Is fuel injection a huge advantage? Suggestions?

    Re-gearing an Alpha 1

I have an Alpha 1 drive geared for the previous 4.3L which is a 1.81 ratio. I will have to re-gear to a 1.5 ratio for the new 5.7L which I will be installing. Anybody swapped out these gear sets before? If so, how difficult? How much $$? thanks! Jetpig
