    Bedding for v-berth

We bought a 3" Serta Cool gel memory foam mattress (I think it was from Kohl's) and cut it to fit. We got the comforter and pillow cases off Etsy.

I mounted the holder directly to the panel. I did use nylon spacers at the bottom to tilt it upwards slightly for the angle I wanted

A/C unit not pumping water (new pump)

Ours wouldnt flow water through the unit last week either. I checked the seacock and water entered through but I never heard the pump come on. It eventually threw the HI P5 code. so I'm assuming it's either our pump went bad or possibly an issue similar to yours. Unfortunately, it will be a few...

    Merc 4.3/alpha won't crank over

There should also be a 15A mini-blade fuse near the back top of the engine behind the distributor a few inches away from the large black plug that houses your ignition wires.

Sorry, I forgot to follow up on this. It turned out to be a ground wire mounted to a wrong post on the back of the sync gauge. It was blowing the 15A mini fuse behind the engine about 6" from the big black ignition wiring plugs.

    No start

I just experienced the same thing with our 270 (twin 4.3 carbed). We were cruisng at 31 knots when thr port engine shut down and wouldn't restart. I It turned out to be the ICM. I swapped the one from my SB to my port and she started right up. Tried the port one on the SB and same issue...

No power to the port engine ignition switch

Just to update. I did get everything figured out Saturday. There are 15A fuses behind the carbs just past where the big black ignition wires plugs are. The port fuse was blowing due to a ground wire mounted at the wrong post on the back of the sync gauge.

Well it’s not plug 1, 36 or 37. Still chasing gremlins

No power to the port engine ignition switch

Thanks for the replies. It really helps. scoflaw is correct, the issue wouldn't be at the neutral safety switch as that feed is after the ignition switch. Looking at the schematics, it doesn't appear to be any in-line fuses. If so, they are not spelled out on the schematics. I will check all of...

No power to the port engine ignition switch

Ok, I checked and I have power to the 90A fuse on the starter and power to the 59A breaker on the engine. I also have power on both sides of the 90 A fuse on the starter. I decided to try connecting the positive feed that goes to the SB ignition to the port ignition as it had power. I then...

No power to the port engine ignition switch

In need of a little help here. We have a 98 270 Sundancer wide body with twin 4.3’s. I haven’t started the engines in about 6 weeks. No issues at that time. Since then I replaced the dash panels and VHF radio. I decided to start the motors tonight just to make sure there weren’t any issues...

Yes the 4.3's are carbureted. The generator would be in the center forward space of the engine bay. Looking at our genny, I believe that it can be removed without removing the engines and I think, if anything, the 7.4 might be more of an issue as far as that is concerned with it being a larger...

    trailer brakes locking during backup

I had an issue when the solenoid went bad on our trailer. Now I keep a block, made of 2-2x4s screwed together, in my tool box along with a couple of long, heavy zip ties. If the solenoid goes out I can zip tie the block behind the surge tongue and it keeps it from sliding back and locking up the...

It does come in handy. It's made from PVC panel purchased at Home Depot. I did add the cup holders to the table. I also added nylon spacers so that the table sets level. You can see where I also added a fold-down stainless cup holder above where the cooler is sitting in the video.
