    Official 280 Sundancer Thread

Thank you again Lazy Daze for your help. I looked at the pumps over the weekend but didn't have any wire. I tried a pair of pliers but couldn't get it to reach. Do I need to remove the Green and Blue wires and then jump them or just touch the bolt they are held on with at the pump?

That's correct. I won't use the trailer button because then I'm totally out of business until I pull the outdrives and repalce the sensors. I hadn't thought about that. Tell me how to do that. That's a good idea!

Thank you lazy and STG. I don't have any control to raise or lower them at this point. They both look all the way down to me. When I had it out I tried to eyeball it and they look pretty close to me. I have not done a tuneup since I bought it with 66 hours on it in November of 2017. It now...

    Official 280 Sundancer Thread

I'm not sure how to start a new thread/issue so I'll do it here. I have a 2004 280DA twin 4.3's with about 200 hours. I am having an issue with the starboard engine coming up to full RPM's. The port will run up to mid 4's and the starboard will go to 38-3900 after a bit of running above 4000...

    Official 2003.5-2008 340 Sundancer Thread

I finally got this carb out and apart. I had to move the water tank over a few inches and push back the insulation but that did the trick. The flame arrestor is in a black case which had a filter of some sort that was completely disintegrated. I can't find that filter anywhere. Do you know...

    Surging Kohler 5E generator

2004 sundancer 280 with Kohler 5e. I can't get the carburetor out. I've got problems getting the linkage unhooked. I was able to get the spring but not the larger ones. I was hoping that when carb started to come up I would get the angle to get them out of the hole but I can't get the carb up...

I found the hinges at the marine store. I will tell you how that goes....$10 bucks or so. I can buy the black ones but they are $300 or so for the whole piece (electronics and all). AND it doesn't match so I'd need to by both sides which wouldn't match the rest of the panel. The buttons all...

Great resource............thank you. That particular ACC panel is not listed. I see I can buy the whole plug in piece for about $400. I was hoping to just be able to replace the cracked plastic piece.

Thank you Trd, I played with the fade control and it seemed to work fine. The RCA connections are clean and tight. I guess it's possible that the speakers are bad........but all 4? I bought the boat like this so it's possible.

I'm having an issue with my rear speakers.. I was told that I needed a new amp. So, I upgraded from the 40 amp to a 100 amp and nothing has changed. I can hear bass and some sounds coming out of the cockpit speakers (all 4) but I can't listen to music with the cabin door closed. The cabin...

I have a 2004 280 Sundancer..........I am looking for the faux wood cover for the left instrument panel where the blower switch is. Does anyone know where I can get this? Also, I need a new toiled seat fastener. The left side broke off of the bowl.

Symptoms: 1. ran great, started great. 2. turned off both engines to do some swimming for about an hour. 3. stbd started right up, Port wouldn't start. turned and might go to 500 rpm's then died. I tried accelerated neutral with no difference. I gave up and went home on the stbd engine. 4...

I was out cruising in the Gulf of Sarasota this weekend and we ran from New pass up to Beercan Island and anchored there in the inlet. Boat ran great the whole way and we hung out for an hour or so with the engines off. When I went to fire up the engines the port engine turned over fine but...

Lazy Daze, Thank you for the response. I spoke with the last (original) owner and he did not install anything on the boat other than a garmin (on the port side). I will look behind it and follow the wires as you suggested. I'm not going to push it, it might be an ejection seat!
