I would contact Great Lakes Canvas; they actually provide the canvas for Sea Ray.

Newish Sea Ray 185 Sport won't run at full power?!

Yes you can get a significant amount of build up in one month, but I can't believe that it would that much as to shave off 20 mph on your top end speed. I had a similar issue where I had a loss in top end speed and rpm. It turned out that I had a flat battery cell that would not take a...

Illinois - new law - Mandatory Life Jacket Wear 24/7 for Solo Boaters

Because I think there a lot of more important things that need to be dealt with than whether or not a solo boater has the right to decide if he/she should be wearing a life jacket. How much breath is going to be wasted over something as stupid as this when compared to whether or not there will...

Illinois - new law - Mandatory Life Jacket Wear 24/7 for Solo Boaters

As stupid as this bill may be, they can go ahead and pass it!! I'm more concerned about the legislature finding solutions to something truly important, like the $1.4 billion school budget deficit!!

I started working in retail when I was in high school way back when. Gave me skills in dealing with buyers that I still use today dealing with my clients. I say its a good idea!!

    Sounder- Transducer Installation

Gary, its very similar to concrete restoration work I've had in several projects. Where I've had concrete spall and expose the solid bar reinforcing steel I can specify that the contractor expose the rebar to sound metal and attach new to that portion. But I've had projects where a tensioned...

Sea Ray 185 spt. Helm Seats

Yeah, unfortunately the tax man got the best of me and I have no money again!! Jason sent me a picture of these seats and they are beautiful!! Anyone who's been looking to upgrade their Sport to bolster seats should seriously consider this offer.

    Sounder- Transducer Installation

Fitting two hole saws on one mandrel might be an easier way to enlarge the hole. It might be close, but if you could mount the 2-1/4" hole saw over the 1-3/4" one, you should be able to engage the existing hole with the smaller hole saw and use that to guide the bigger saw to enlarge the hole...

    Prop question-2007 195 Sport w/ 4.3MPI

Sea Ray's prop chart says you should be running a 13.75x21 SS Vengeance prop with a 1.62:1 Alpha ouutdrive. ** I read the chart wrong. The above info I posted is for a 185 Sport. For a 195 Sport it should be a 14x19 SS Vengeance from the factory. Sorry for the misinformation!!**

If you look at the pictures for the 220 Sun Deck, its actually a 210; look at the transom pictures.

Does the Bucket Method Really Work?

Any merit in pulling the t-stat before pulling pink out of the bucket?? That way you can be sure the t-stat is not closed.

Where should raw water be pumped out of an alpha gen II?

Had the same question when I replaced my impeller earlier this summer. The only place I am not aware of water coming out of is the shift rod/speed tube area; the rest are ok. Here is a link to my post. You may want to PM Dennis and ask him. http://clubsearay.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20089

    Obama is Wall Street's "boi"

Sad thing is, this has been going on since 1913 when Nelson Aldrich formed the idea of a Federal Reserve Bank with the help of J. P. Morgan and Nelson Rockefeller. We've all been Wall Street's b%^&*es for a long time!!

Sea Ray 185 salt water use

At least for the 4.3L V6 there is no radiator; a heat exchanger is used instead. The closed side of the system uses glycol coolant for the block and/or heat exchangers. The raw water side draws fresh water as the cooling media in the heat exchanger to pull off the heat on from the coolant on...
