If you want to change out a cylinder head I was told you need to match up the numbers under the valve cover. Noticed the cylinder head currently on the engine also has CM6. And the replacement has CM4. What's the difference. Engine is the 7.4. 454 big block

Don't see how a dirty bottom will only have a effect on the starboard engine only. Bottom is cleaned ever year. Will double check anyway. Both props were reconditioned before she was dropped in this year. Will check to make sure nothing grew on it

Just the port engine is running hot . Temp on both engines reading at 170, not sure when the impellerswere last changed out, got the boat 2 1/2 years ago I will try placing my hand on the risers this weekend. Any other thought out there?
I notice the port engine is putting out a lot of steam. The exhaust water is very hot. Is this a sign of the risers being blocked or the fresh water cooler
