There is a filter inside the cool fuel module and it was spotless. Fuel pressure was about 50 psi. Can’t remember exactly though. Mechanic said it was in spec. This is a mercruiser certified mechanic. Fuel rails were cleaned when injectors were cleaned.

Oil looks fine when changed. They changed it when it was in the shop and didn’t mention anything. Engine hrs are approx 550. Fuel pressure was tested on the trailer. Not under load. New fuel pumps, and pressure regulators. I cleaned the cool fuel module and didn’t notice any paint chips in it...

Finally got the boat back, hopefully it is fixed but the weather does not look like it will allow me to go to the water today.

The mechanic says that he did a leak down test and cylinders 1 did not hold pressure. he removed the heads to inspect and found the valves in cylinder 1 to be bent. Says it was caused by the heat buildup from running lean. He did a flow test on the injectors. he hasn't told me yet what the...

So the boat has been in the shop going on over 40 days now. they have the heads at the machine shop and say they're going to clean the fuel injectors. I hope that is all that is needed.

All things I hate to hear but maybe the best thing I can do is take it to someone to check out. I was hoping it wasn't as bad as sound like it is. Ill ket this updated as I have more info, maybe several weeks before I can get it to the shop though.

Also, I checked on the plugs and I have compatible plugs according to the manual.

After looking up what a MR43T plug looks like, I would say I have the wrong plugs. Mine do look a bit longer. I hate I just spent 70 bucks on them and already installed them yesterday before I read this.

Thanks for all of the reply’s. If it is an injector problem, is it possible a fuel additive could help out? Any recommendations if so. I use non ethanol gas but do you think moving to premium fuel would be better?

I replaced all of them 2 years ago. So I found 1 more plug that was broken. I winder if I got ahold of some bad plugs? here is a pic of them. One is from the back left manifold and the other is from the front right manifold. so 2 are bad.
