I had the same problem with breaker tripping off. I replaced the 12V motor on the vacuflush unit and it fixed the problem.

if it is a Glendenning sync, probably it is the flex shaft connector to the motor crankshaft. I have sheared 2 or 3 in the past on mine. Call Glendenning for parts or visit their website. Easy fix.

I used a little heat from a heat gun and gently pried them off with a plastic putty knife. Easy removal.

To Nick Hadel: My 99 400DA shows 2000+ hours on both tach's. I had a tech with a laptop with merc software plug into the ECM's to get actual engine run hours. Both motors showed around 320 hours actual run time. The techometer hour meters run whenever the keys are turned on at the control panel...

I am pretty sure the pictures show the trim tab reservoir, not the hatch lift. My hatch lift has no reservoir. If the hatch lift is slow or non-working, my guess would be the batteries are low on juice or charger is off.

Capt. Will: I have a similar setup. To clean my flame arrestors, I spray carb cleaner on the flame arrestor while it is bolted in place while motors are running 1500rpm. Keeps them clean.

It is held in with clips. Just pull down carefully. Mine is similar but the lights are the halogen eyeball fixtures.

I have a factory step/ladder on my 1999 400DA and it is very nice. Attaches to port motor. I wonder why yours isn't the same? Maybe find a buddy with a newer 400 and check out the ladder.

I can tell you how I replaced my 1999 400 DA fridge. I would suggest a new Vitrifrigo frig at $1500 instead of fixing the old Norlcold. New fridge cost about $1500 and we are very happy with improvement. Let me know if you need info.

On my Raymarine radar there is a toggle switch on the outside of the unit. Make sure it is in the on position.

I used a car door switch from an auto supply. I modified the old hole to make it fit. Works like new now.
