Unequal Fuel Usage in my 2005 340 Sundancer

Tom, I do use a high quality fuel additive and the engines run beautifully, which is why this is such a mystery? I still have a few things to try before calling in the mechanic.

Unequal Fuel Usage in my 2005 340 Sundancer

Thanks, I will try that on my next fill up and monitor it between consecutive fill ups. If there is one thing I have learned is that gauges on boats never tell the full story.

Unequal Fuel Usage in my 2005 340 Sundancer

I have noticed that my Starboard engine uses a lot more fuel then my Port engine during normal operation and cruising. I have not used the generator during the last 2 fill up's and I always put about 15 gallons more in my Starboard side tank in case I need the generator. I have noticed each...

    Official 2003.5-2008 340 Sundancer Thread

Kevin, I have a 2005 340 and had the same issue. I ended up having to use the old sponge and bucket method of removal to get the water out. Now I make sure to just wipe it down to clean that area and not to spray any water in there. I took the sink and faucet out as well when I bought the...

No Cold side of AC troubleshooting...

Possibly a leak of the coolant or it may need to be recharged? Not sure how old your system is? I just replaced a 12,000 BTU unit with a new Dometic and the new system is all self contained with no place to recharge the unit. The previous owner had let the drain get clogged and the pan and...

    Reverse A/C Replacement

Hello all! I just purchased a 2005 340 SD and have to replace the Reverse Cycle CruiseAir 12,000 BTU 115V/60 Phase 1 unit. I have received several quotes but before I buy the same BTU unit, has anyone replaced theirs with a smaller unit? I was thinking that a smaller unit would be a big...
