Yep, it looks like it is. I can't get it on my note3, but will try it at home. I may have been mistaken. If I read correctly manual #25 covers my engine as expected and manual #41 (which also looks like its available for free ) is a supplement which covers the tks carburetor.

Thanks for the info. So far looks like the people selling on eebaay, are fudging a bit, because #25 doesn't look like its the correct model year. I wil have to try a few downloads at home. Jeff

Hi all, I have a question on the Mercury Marine factory service manual. I have a 2009 4.3 tks 185 sport I need the manual for. I want the FSM as opposed to Clymer. My past experience sifting through details in the Clymer because they compile too many models together is not what I am interested...

He did..... and im dying laughing I have nothing against any boat out there, to each there own, get out on the water and have fun. Even a guy in a little jon boat with a 5 hp motor is having a good time because hes out on the water.

Agree 100% . My wife and I have a 4 yr old and 11 month old and the many trips throughout the boating season are indeed priceless imo, even if we were unfortunate to have an unforeseen expense.

Cool, thanks for the info. If you remember by chance, I would be interested in seeing a picture or hearing your findings on the floats and maybe the whole carb condition in general once you dig into it.

Are they a foam type of float? Sorry, not meaning to hijack the thread, but we have an 09 185 4.3tks (163 hrs ). Out of curiousity, how many hours do you have? But time itself and not hours I suppose can harm the floats. I am familiar with motorcycle carbs. Just wondering if I can expect any...

Hmmm, off the top of my head. Bangs Lake wauconda, the fox river chain ( pistakee, grass, petite, channel, fox, and catherine lake. A bit further, twin lakes, lake Geneva, delevan, csstle rock, the illinois river. Lots of options from 30 minutes to 1.5 hrs depending on the amount of time you have

Thanks for the info. The PO warned me of the ss prop in the river etc. Thanks for the reassurance with the fact of this being my only mishap on the first outing. Looking forward to a nice long boating season next spring for sure.

Yea, so far very pleased with the performance. We will almost always have my wife and our 2 kids on board. I will def keep the prop changes in mind.....except no ss in the river for me!

Yeah the Fox. It was on saturday between 11- 3pm. I suppose it may have seemed busy to me because I have never boated there before and I am used to the IL river which is a bit wider if I remember correctly. We started at Algonquin rd and went north from there.
