I have a 2012 205 Sport with the 5.0 MPFI, runs great, never any issues.
When starting, it does not start with a bump of the key, it turns over 2-4 seconds
before starting. Is this normal for inboards. I guess I expect it to do like a car and start
as soon as you turn the key.
On my 205 Sport, my horn has not worked since I purchased the boat 3 years ago, it makes a very strange electronic techno type of sound. Purchased a replacement horn, and I get the same strange sound, no horn sound. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
On my 205 Sport, I have a battery isolator to shut down power to everything on the boat. I also keep a battery tender hooked up when not in use. For those with the same set up, do you use your isolator? Does it matter if the isolator is in the on or off switch with the battery tender connected?
I want to install a transom trim switch this off season as one of my projects. I have a 2012 205 Sport with the 5.0/Alpha One. Which transom switch, if any, would be plug and play. I have seen several on ebay and Amazon, want to make sure I get the right one.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Mike

It seems risky or dangerous to be able to go into trailer mode while up and running. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of the trim limit switch does it not?
I guess I just don't understand how it's supposed to work, and my main concern is what if my trim limit switch goes out, will the Tilt...
Is the switch on the shifter in tilt mode when the engine is off and trim when running? If so, does the tilt work separately from the trim if the trim limit goes out?
I have a 2012 205 sport, I do not have a trailer trim switch. What would you do if you go out on the water and your trim up limit switch goes out. You would not be able to lift the drive to put it on the trailer and pull it out of the water. I have read multiple threads where the limit switch...
2012 5.0MPI, replacing my plugs while I can get to them, I am replacing my power steering pump and have the dividers removed under the rear pads of my 205 sport so I have easy access.
Auto Zone has the 41-101 plugs in stock, same thing that came with the engine from the factory, and

On my 2012 205 Sport, I have the 5.0 MFI and need to replace my power steering pump. I have found some schematics on line listing my engine with the power steering assembly 16792A39.
The only part numbers I can find on mine are 26134102, and also...
