if it is seawater cooled pull the plugs and check for water in cylinders. To me a seawater cooled SMBC is only good for 8 years before it needs new heads and manifolds.

yes it can happen.. The mercarb 2 bbl is one of the worst with ethanol fuel..The ethanol eats the carb bowl turns it fuzzy white.. found that phase 4 treatment and mystery oil solves those issues, add it as labled on the bottle..
Check for water in fuel.
electric fuel pump could also be failing if it has one.. or bad connection to pump. That pump runs off oil pressure switch on port side of engine.
congratz.. You can secure stuff in he boat have it shrinkwrapped before towing it. it can be shrinkwrapped below water line, no road dirt or bugs to clean off on arrival..
They have done it in the past with larger boats similar design, OMC also did it with there sail drive.. It was originally designed for better steering capability. Old trick new technology..

Starting repair on 1st cushion, this is the only one with bad wood that has to be done now as it collapses when you sit on it or step off sundeck. Seems they did not use marine plywood as there is a lot of voids in sheeting. I can post pics of marine plywood that I have. should be footballs...
