My transom lockers on my 500 DA appear to have some sort of “wrap” on them which is deteriorating. When I wash the boat or rain, the water gets into the locker making everything nasty in those lockers. Does anyone know what that material is? I would like to replace it.

Just curious what you all are using to remove these monster diesel oil filters. Mine is completely stuck. I was trying to use a rubber strap wrench with no luck The previous owner must have went with the triple torque right method of securing it.
