Anyone know how to disassemble the adjustable drivers seat to access the bolsters? The zipper holding the vinyl cover on the bolster unzipped the entire length. I would like to take it off and have a shop fix it. The screw heads that I can access from under the seat just spin.
I got lucky and a friend of mine had a Rinda tool. Took about 30 seconds to configure the ECM on the port motor. It's right in the directions on the Rinda for the ECM 555.
Thanks for posting all the info. I just ordered the parts off superwa's list and between Ebay and AMZ it was $596.04. For my 2001 340 AJ with 8.1 Horizons.
Completed the worst imaginable job on our boats. My holding tank was leaking. Checked all the fittings and finally found that it was from under the tank. I went and pumped it out and refilled it 5 times to cut down on the nastiness but 20 years of use still made it a disgusting job. I could not...
Has anyone removed the old galley tv/ VHS tape on their 340 Amberjack? I don’t see how it was mounted in the cabinet opening . It seems like it might be glued in.
Two screws under the front lip and it slides out. What are you planning on putting there? I'd like to make ours a cabinet and...
Thank you. I still can't quite figure out what the previous owner did. Both bait well/fish well have the macerator discharge. On the baitwell, there are hole where it looks like the recirculating pump was hooked up, but there isn't even a plastic fitting left. And there is not stb spigot for...
Ok that makes sense. I have the switch on the dash for washdown, but only the port spigot. None on the stb side. Thanks for the info. I'll just keep it simple and continue to use the potable water.
Do any other owners have a plumbed livewell? I have livewell in the cockpit floor and the only evidence it was plumbed was two empty holes where the fill and overflow used to be. They have caulk so it looks like the previous owner removed the plumbing. The reason I'm asking is that I would like...
That was in a Pursuit, and I had to pull the boat, drop the rudders, slide shaft to get the trans out. We did not have to pull the motor. I'm not sure if we'd have to in the Sea Ray. Another friend just replaced his trans in his 36 Tiara and did the whole thing with the boat in the water. Said...
What transmission, Velvet Drive? I've heard it from two mechanics that they are "noisy" and rattle. On my old boat with Velvet Drives the trans was fine but the nut that holds the engine coupler on was loose and made a heck of a racket so we thought the trans was bad.. It's a lock nut that...
Those ram lifts are actually screws that rotate inside the stainless cylinder so you're trying to get oil/grease onto the threads and also the worm gear at the bottom.
We were out Sunday and with 6 people 3/4 fuel we ran 30mph on the gps at 4000rpm. About what I expected.
Changed my stb...
In regards to exhaust fumes. We came home yesterday in a downpour and left the aft curtain up for the ride but still were getting fumes. Because of the temp we could see the exhaust fumes coming in the cutouts in the transom where you run the dock lines. We stuffed some towels in there and it...
My thru hull transducer is mounted just in front of the motors next to the inlet for the AC. Not sure on model but it looks just like the B744 transducer I had mounted on the last boat. It reads accurately at speed and while trolling.
Regarding the fumes, leaving the drop curtain zipped down...
Thanks for starting this thread. We just bought our current boat and fished it for the first time last week.
mj duell your floor and steps look great. The previous owner of our boat owned a flooring store and installed real hardwood flooring in the cabin floor and outlined the hatch cover...
