I just changed mine out in the fall on my 240. Tie a string to the old one as you pull it out. Almost a necessity to get the new one back through on the 240's. You will need a 1 1/8" wrench. I bought a cheap one for around $10 if you don't have one that big. I got it from Amazon or Home Depot.
I replaced mine. I went with Skar marine speakers. They are 6.5's. I did have to open the holes a little bit, but the difference in speakers is unbelievable. I also added a 4 channel Skar amp to power them
I replaced my gimbal and steering pin at the same time as the cable... I thought the drive would be the hardest part, and I was wrong. As said, the zip ties are the hardest part. I took a long screwdriver, called it a bunch of names and got into the cable to break it. Installation was much...
I keep it simple. The front seats i just use a soft bungee from the grab handles to the front ski locker latch. The rear seat i just spin the front passenger seat around, slide it to the rear a little and push the bolster down to keep it tight in place. No issues.
I have been trying to figure out what to do with mine. My bolster padding is shot and when I have it flipped up the metal bar inside digs in and hurts after a short amount of time
I went a different route. I pulled off the metal hoop and got a small piece of metal. I laid the hoop piece on the metal and drilled pilot holes. I then took the metal and slid it inside the wall between the fiberglass and the panel. Then reattached the piece with stainless screws. Works...
I actually bought it here on CSR from another member. I have seen them other places as well. It was custom made from a canvas shop. The guy I use for canvas said he has made a few in the past. I have a picture i put up recently in the Sundeck Facebook group
I have a 2005 Sundeck, and knowing what I know now about it, I'd be willing to travel a distance to buy one. The Select to me is a great sleek boat. It has a sporty look to it. To me it like comparing two of the same cars: The coupe/sedan to the wagon model. The Sundeck is a great family boat...
Here is what to do: You need to travel with the passenger seat spun around facing the rear. Adjust it so that you have to press the bolster down. The pressure on the cushion prevents it from moving. I do it all of the time and it doesn't move anymore
I love the 240. I looked at many boats and I am so glad I found one. It takes rough water well. The bow never even comes close to taking on water when its rough. I have had little things to fix, but all in all its been a great boat. I trailer. I go everywhere - Rivers, Raystown, Yough, Deep...
You should be fine. I have an 05 240 Sundeck that I tow around the Pgh area as well. You will be fine. I tow with a 2500 Ram with the 5.7 Hemi. I have the power to pull it. I moved my axles all the way to the rear for more tongue weight.
Do you have the frame? You could take it to a glass shop and have them install new glass. Thinking of mine it is just flat glass. I broke the slider window inside of my cap of my truck and the dealer wanted I think $200, and the glass shop cut one for less than $20
I bought a wet/dry shop vac motor that attaches to a 5 gallon bucket. I extended the hose with pvc pipe. Not the best smelling, but its clean and there is no mess whatsoever. I am able to dump it straight into my septic tank.
I was just in the same situation. I called on Deka's, looked at Interstate. Best $$$ deal on batteries is from Advance. I just bought 2 group 29's. Buy it online and pick up in the store. There is always an online coupon out there for $40 off $100 or more. I bought 2 batteries, 2 separate...

Easy install. No issues. Works great for me
I just bought my Sundeck last year. I did A LOT of research when buying a boat. I paid 5k more for mine than what I could have bought one in another state. Finding a 24' open bow used is next to impossible around here. Your location and what other boats are for sale in your area will have a...
