Hi,
We're getting ready for our 1st full season. We bought our 1st boat, 2006 240 SD, the end of last season. We Boat on Smith Mountain Lake.
Welcome to CSR, it's a great group of people!
Hi Folks,
It's been awhile for me, glad to see everyone's still around. I was at a local boat show in Roanoke, VA recently and agree with you-I'd still pick my 240. I also mentioned the new "star trek" seats and was told that the "classic" seats would still be available.
BTW, I'm planning...
Hi Riverside,
I have a 2006 240 sundeck and it works very well for us. we are a family of 5 and my youngest is 6. I went back and forth between the 240 and 260. I decided on the 240 because it fit our needs, plenty of room for family, plus a few friends. I didn't see a big enough difference...
wow, great information. I guess I'llhave to bite the bullet and winterize. I hope to get a few more weekends in though. I guess I'm back to the original plan of putting it up after Thanksgiving. I'm on a waiting list for a covered slip, I'll look into getting a heater once I get it.
Thanks
no, they have different height racks. I love the top, it was about 45-50 degrees and we had to unzip the windows because we were so hot. I didn't get to the punch list (little guy started getting an ear ache) but I would think we'll get out again this week. I'm starting to wonder if I can get...
luckily the marina where i rack the boat is also the searay dealer. I plan on going out on Sunday (the camper canvas should be installed) so we'll start the punch list then. I plan on having them do the repairs just before i put her up for the season which will be around Thanksgiving. I can...
Sounds like we are on the same page Alex. BTW, did you go to that aquapolooza this past year? Is that something they do every year or was it a special event?
Thanks for the suggestion Alex. I'm in the rack at SMYC now, so it's not such a big deal. I live in Forest and to call them when we're on the way out the door to splash the boat works well for us. I just want to get a covered slip to have a place to clean the boat and hang out. Besides I like...
Thanks for the suggestions Alex. I'll make it a point to stop by and check out your boat next time I'm at SMYC. I'm on a waiting list to get a covered slip, but who knows how long that will be. I really like the folks at SMYC, they all seem to have an easy going way about them.
Chuck-you...
Hi,
We just bought our 1st boat about 2 months ago and have been exploring SML. I see a ton of SeaRays whenever we go out. Anyone out there have any suggestions on places to explore, restaurants, etc.?
It would be great to get this forum going!
Thanks!
I don't knowwhat the old style was, but on mine the captain chairs are also all white seat flips up so you can sit higher (above the windshield). I'll try to find a picture
I was starting to think of winterizing too, but after looking at Chucks site, I'm going with the full canvas and heater to extend the season as much as possible.
Alex-Can you go out on SML into Dec?
Hi Chuck,
GREAT PICS! The camping canvas is exactly what I was thinking. It's nice to be able to see what it would look like. After looking at the pictures, I'm thinking of taking a day and going out on the boat this week.
Hi Chuck,
We are planning on going out Saturday and taking some pictures, though the weather looks bad. As soon as I take some I will post them. We're still figuring out the name, I said we would give it until next season since we will be having it winterized in a few weeks. I'm thinking...
