Is it OK that I already put some grease in there in the fall before winterizing without the motors running? It took a lot of grease and I just stopped putting it in because it took so much. Should I put more in with the engine running till it seems that it is full? :huh: I am somewhat new to...

I purchased one at the Sea Ray dealer and they are going to send me the plug. It is used for the engine hatch and it can be used with a portable battery jumper. Thanks for the help and for anyone else interested in openning a hatch, it will work. :thumbsup:

I am aware of that method, but wanted to avoid it as the hatch is very heavy and didn't want to deal with it. A portable battery charger just seems to be a good solution if it works. Anybody use one?

My 1999 SR with thru hull exhaust has Alpha 1 outdrives. There are 2 fitting on each side that grease for when the outdrive goes up and down. I see that the gas dock at my marina will have 10% ethenol next boating season. I have read that this is not good for those that have a gas tank constructed from a poly. Is this true? How do I find out what type of tank I have is my recently purchased used boat? :huh: Thanks.

I anchor in shallow, sandy bottomed areas and get in the water and wash the sides by hand. At the dock I'll wash the deck.

Thanks. So is there a need to change the lube in the resevoir, as it seems like it isn't actually being used? How is that lube different from my half filled bottle in my dock box? Just wondering.
