I am spending a little time finding and collecting checklists to print and place on the new-to-me 300DA. I have found a few good ones, mostly pertaining to general mechanical stuff:

I didn't realize you had to tie off to relieve pressure on the windlass. I need to learn more about that.
Having a lot of experience doing this with smaller boats I have found it to be a major pain now that I have a boat this size. I'm going with the stay deep and use a dinghy method...
Recent owner of a new-to-me 2004 300DA and still trying to gain a full understanding of the entire electrical system. It has a Xantrax Truecharge2 charger and 4 batteries. A couples things:
1. I know the charger will charge the batteries when I am connected to shore power, will it do the same...
That's a great point. I'll check with them, but it shouldn't be a problem. All of the canvas is on now and they don't have any problems. I am on a bottom rack so I think that helps.
Yep, dry stack, and that's exactly what I'm thinking...... weavers so I can lean the boat forward to give the forklift enough clearance, then I can push it out with some braces to keep it more vertical while running.
I have lots of options as far as boats and davit systems, the final issue I am working out is how to handle the logistics of being in a dry stack. Is anyone else in a dry stack using a dinghy and davit set-up? I haven't spoken with the marina yet to see if a vertically stored boat will interfere...
Here is the dinghy I'm thinking of ordering for my 300da. Seems like a good deal.

My new-to-me 300da came with a full set, never been used. I'm thinking of using it, but I expect it will be hot and hard to clean. Any advantages to using it? I figure it's easy on the feet and my little one from stepping all over those snaps. I wish it was a neutral gray color.
She's mine, took her out for a short trip yesterday, all went well. I found her to handle surprisingly well around the dock, as long as I am slow and deliberate, using short bumps of the shifters, I could pretty much get around without the wheel. Ok, here is my first list of items, I'd greatly...
I have no association with this sale, just noticed the ad because I rarely see these props for sale used. Would consider buying as a back up set but I need to upgrade electronics first. :)

I'll double check the speaker set up but I think it is as you describe. I'm hoping to just be able to remove the main clarion unit and swap it for an updated one, but things are usually never that easy.
I am in a covered dry stack so I will leave everything up and just store the back panels.
Gotcha, I didn't think about putting it there. I have all my life vests in that spot. I read through this entire thread about a week ago and I thought I read that someone used the secret spot for it. It'll work out.
I know where it is but not how to access it. Hoping someone will find it in their hearts to let me in on the secret before Monday so I not have to waste too much time trying to find it. :) If I remember correctly, it is the best place to store the camper pieces. Definitely don't want those...
Deal is done! Well, not officially until Monday, but I will be able to clean it and put all my gear on this weekend. Will be taking some days off during the middle of the week to take her on a maiden trip to practice some slow speed maneuvering when the marina isn't busy.
First order of...
That is a great idea, however, I found a clearance deal on a small 4" lowrance so I'm only out a few hundred bucks and it will always be a good back up.
I am already planning on an upgrade though, I want to fill the main screen space with the biggest touch screen that will fit, thinking 10...
