As a follow-up: I have been working with Gallery Marine for the past year since my original post and they have indeed been great to work with. Very flexible, communicative, and committed to getting it right.
Thanks to all the great folks at Gallery Marine.

This was prior to running engines, never even started engines so did not get any diagnostic warning of any sort. Disconnected the wire running to the alarm (below the dashboard instrument panel)..... All is running fine, no problem other than the alarm itself....
My 2007 290 sundancer has had an alarm go off a few times for no apparent reason. I suspect a short in the wiring somewhere.
Today, after sitting overnight, I ran the blower for about 60 seconds when the alarm abruptly went off, a steady constant loud alarm. I could only kill it by pulling...
I have two outlets (not cigarette lighters, normal outlets) in my boat that have abruptly quit working.
I have looked for circuit breakers, GFCI switches, everything....
Any ideas or advice???
thanks!!!
This has all been incredibly helpful info, I appreciate it!!!
I plan to head to Anacortes our first night, then follow our noses to hit some of the highlights you all mentioned, but not stick to any rigid itinerary. Will see where the weather leads us!
And, I will report back afterwards...
Hello all --
we have been greatly enjoying our new 2007 sundancer 290 and have a week off in early August for our first long trip. We plan to go to the San Juans.
I do not have reservations anywhere and would appreciate any suggestions people have. I think my preferred approach is to reserve...
I have a Sea Ray that needs some basic work done:

Zinc replacement

I am attempting to flush pinkish water (obviously, antifreeze) out of my various water lines in the boat. It was all going fairly well after a few tans filled and emptied, until I turned on the hot water heater and started running hot water through the lines, at which...
Just reporting back. We purchased a 2007 290 Sundancer and are absolutely delighted with our new (used) boat. Really appreciate everyone's input.
We've taken it out through the locks into the Puget Sound a few times already and saw a humpback whale unexpectedly surface right beside us our...
Hello all,
We made an offer on a 2007 Sea Ray 290 and have a few questions for this incredibly helpful community.
History: The boat has been stored in a freshwater slip, but has gone in and out of the salt water. The owner replaced BOTH outdrives in 2013 due to bad corrosion.
When we...
Thank you all so much for the great advice.
We made an offer on a boat today, will report back if the deal goes through.
Hope to see all of you on the water soon -
cheers,

Any more comments on the built-in Sea Ray BBQ grills? Do people use them heavily and like them, or am I better off buying and installing a separate one?
I would like a propane grill and like the idea of the built-in one, but not if it's weak or unable to get hot enough to be efficient --...
