You may want to consider a early 2000s 3.3 Mercury 2 stroke or older 90s 4.0 Mercies 2 stroke. I have both second hand motors and they start every time by the 3rd pull. Oh yeah, and they smoke very little, only at start up. You can lay the down any way you want. Good Luck

I purchased a slip previously, and ended up selling it. Be prepared to pay condo fees as well as being billed for improvements... piers, bulkheads, roofs if covered. If you have the stomach for it go for it. It's a lot like the stock market, you may make money or you may pay a lot for that...

If you're going to keep the boat over 6 years, it's definitely worth it to purchase or make a custom cover. Fischer makes a very good product. I made my own 8 years ago, and I plan on using it for another 8 years.

I have a 1996, top switch is floor courtesy lights, middle switch is overhead 12volt lights, and bottom switch is the exhaust fan over stove. You need to turn on 12volt breaker for accessories.

There's Tons of great products out there. I never wax the nonskid for risk of the first mate falling. Try Bar Keepers Friend (powder type) under $2 works fantastic. It will strip wax, only if you do not keep enough water on it as you use it. I've been using it for 10 years or so.

I have carbs. Either way there should be an idle screw at the engine end of the throttle cable. Just adjust the throttle ever so slightly to see if it goes away.

I had same issue when I purchased my 370. Make sure the idle is correct, I believe 750rpm. Mine was to low, so I turned it up to 750 and the clatter went away.

I own a covered slip, with a bubbler if needed, in a very popular area. I will use the boat as a condo in the winter.
