I have not messed with the arm. Some posts I read said "don't touch it" others said to bend it. So I didn't... that and I wasn't sure which way to bend it.
It hasn't worked since I got the boat last summer and for the past while I have just disconnected it and let it hang there like in the...
Yeah depending on where I mount the new plate I thought about just using the old mounting hardware to fill the holes. Prior to me knowing I was going to have to mount the switch in a different spot it looked like I could mount it right on top of the are, but there is no way to hold it in place...
I have searched through all the threads on here and have read all the posts on adjusting the shift cable and shift interrupt switch. After trying to adjust the cables with no luck I decided to buy the kit. I went to mount the kit for the holiday weekend on the water and realized that the...
I know its been a while but this is for anyone new out there with the same problem. The shift interrupt switch is on the top of the motor. I has a metal arm that bends when you push the throttle. I believe when you check the timing you actually connect two white wires on the drivers side of the...
Man, I just found this thread today. I was actually out on the water that Sunday, didn't know there was a big group in the area from CSR. Maybe next time!

Talked to the guy at the marine store and he told me that if you hear one click when you turn the key then the slave solenoid is bad. He said that if you hear multiple clicks its the battery is low/bad connection.
He ended up giving me back my old starter...

Just a reminder, I'm getting a...
thanks everyone for the quick responses...I just went out and tighten up all the cables and still nothing....I hooked a battery charger up to it and switch it to "start" and the engine still just clicked. could it still be the battery or cables?
The guy I bought the boat from told me he...
I have a 1993 Mercruiser 3.0
When I was out on the lake this past weekend, the boat started up fine but after about 30 minutes of play I went to turn the boat back on and it wouldn't turn. I have full power I just kept hearing a clicking sound. If I tapped the solenoid sometimes it would try...
