As posted when the server was first replaced, somewhere between 8-9AM the server is unreachable or so bogged down it can't respond. Clears up around 9AM.
Thought I would post this since it doesn't happen often. Garmin has their subscription charts on sale $100 off. I just sub'd the upper east coast Navionics vision+ for $149

For some reason the delete has been removed from the edit options ...
@CSR_Admin - As the title states - Can't edit post's from old server. No edit button.
Not sure it is limited to the old server post's, but there are a lot of post's I can not edit. Most of the older pic's didn't come along with the update, and the edit feature would allow me to update the pics...
Curious why these types are allowed to join and then spam and when reported the threads are not deleted and the user put on post versification at the minimum.

So I decided to look at the members list today. Under Members Current visitors there is a "Robots" page. You can also see what guest's are doing what. Check out these quick screen shots. But in short, when I took these screen captures there were 12 pages of bot's, 8 pages of guest's and only 11...

I am trying to calculate propeller efficiency (Slip), and if my calculations are correct I am running at ~76% efficiency.
I cruise at 1850 RPM and go 23MPH when the bottom is clean.
My transmissions are 1.5:1 ratio, which means the props are spinning at ~1233RPM.
My props are 26"x26" which...
As the add states. I am looking to buy a set of 4 Blade D26" P24" Shaft 2" - 2 props.
Anyone have a lead on these or looking to get rid of a set, please PM me.
Thanks.
So in fine PropTalk tradition, they have published this years Dock Bar list and poll.
This magazine always touches on things near and dear to my heart here on the Chesapeake.
As always a great write up of places to go and have a bite to eat and a frosty.

So my RM heading sensor STB and will not calibrate the compass so now the boat follows straight, but is sideways. That troughs off the info like XTE ect.
I believe it's time to upgrade to a new AP.
Question on one thing though, can the new Garmin units "follow track"s and also follow "auto...
I can not believe the BS NOAA is trying to impose, and this time it's only the west coast of FL. TX, LA and MS are not included at this point.
The short version...
Anyone going to be down around Solomons (Zahnisers) for the weekend of the 4th? I am going to be down that way sun-wed. It would be great to meet up with some of you. So let me know if anyone is going to be around.
Is anyone going to the beer fest this weekend? It takes in half the town, a whole lot of fun walking around to the various brewers etc.
Staying at Higgins - should be a good time. Stop by if your in the area.
Has anyone ventured the Dismal Swamp Canal?
I have only ever gone through the Albermarle/Chesapeake canal. I was reading up on it a bit and it looks like a really nice trip to take through there. It's maintained at 6' deep, I am not sure of the bridge heights or if my boat would be able to run...
While JB isn't my all time favorite band, he is one of them. I have seen him more times then anyone else, though. His pre-concert tailgating at Jones Beach is second to none and starts days in advance.
Seems it's catching up with him at 76 -...
Curious if anyone has upgraded their charts to the subscription level charts yet?
Navionics boating app use to have a Sonar contour with blue shading that was super easy to see in sunlight on your phone/tablet. Now it has gone the way of Garmin's Relief Shading charts. So now my plotter looks...
I have three Maretron displays, one 3.5" DSM150, one of there first small displays. It was short lived and only offered for a few years. It was replaced by the DSM410. It has been moved around on my dash and finally lives in my electric panel. It has been like the Energizer bunny. Going on eight...
Not sure this belongs here but I thought I would post this somewhere it stood a chance of being seen a week from now.
Anyway Navionics has a live chart site so you can view there charts online. It is a nice way to arm chair captain your next trip. I subscribe to there phone app so I am not...
