Got it. Bottom center of cushion a screw/flat bracket holding the cushion in place. Two slide-on clips ( what are they really called) with 2 additional screws at the far ends of the cushion.
Time to reupholster but am not sure on how to remove the forward back cushion located aft of the running light. All other cushions pose no problem in removing.
Simple question. I replaced the reel strap on my Shorelander trailer and failed to remember if the winch strap goes over the reel or under the reel. Think of a roll of toilet paper. How is it mounted or does it matter?
Some also have studs attached to the cushion that go through a slot on the boat and have a washer and locknut on the otherwise to hold the cushion in place.
Well I bought trim/power steering fluid and realized the pump hydraulic fittings are quick disconnect so I didn't need to break the flare fitting to the quick disconnect fitting. Pulled the QD off, cleaned it, reinstalled and now all is well. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies!
I replaced the rotted out trim pump bracket on my 3.0 Mercruiser and now have a leak on one of the pump line fittings. It is very snug but still leaks. Constant drip, drip, drip. Can I try teflon tape on the threads or is there something else I should be aware of.

I installed a swim platform on my 2008 175 sport i/o and need a new cover. I cannot find a cover for my boat with a swim platform. Should I just get a 185 sport cover so the swim platform is covered or stick with a 175 sized cover?
I just went through all of this. It started out by my having difficulty in trimming down. After a few minutes of running I would be able to get trim down. I just lived with it for a year or so. Then I installed a swim platform which required spacers be installed in the trim rams to prevent...
I don't want to worry about how high up I can trim. The drive does contact the swim platform at full up (I don't have a trailer setting).
Anyway, the starboard cylinder end cap is corroded onto the shaft and will not slide up or down. I decided to just replace the whole shebang so I ordered...
Sorry if the verbiage is incorrect but yes. I need to limit upward travel of the outdrive by installing a spacer on the trim cylinder. The spacer instructions shows the use of a spanner to open the cylinder.
What is the size of the spanner needed to remove the grease caps on the hydralic rams of an Alpha 1 drive? I need to add spacers to prevent my outdrive from hitting my swim platform
Thanks for the reply and the heads-up about passible rust issues. I am thinking of having a brass plaque made at a trophy shop and then using aluminum pop rivets or epoxy to secure it to the trailer tongue.
On my last trailer safety inspection the tech mentioned the decal with the VIN is almost unreadable. His recommendation is to punch the VIN in a suitable location. My question is: How have those of you who have had this problem handled it. Secondly, would a alphanumeric 1/4" punch set work...
